Many of our retail clients were at their wits end when it came to efficiently
communicating with existing customers. They were frustrated with trying to
match customer communications with customer records and history. The Customer
Communication Manager module to QBaroo's Shopping Cart Software allows merchants
to review incoming email in context, respond to client inquiries and broadcast
newsletters and merchandizing advertisements. The Customer Communications
Manager gives merchants access to all client data including shopping history
across all of the merchant's stores. Merchants that have the QBaroo Save module
installed are able to access client gift registries, wish lists, gift certificates
and email history.

Some of our clients told us they get a knot in their stomach when they looked
at processing growing volumes of orders. Some were frustrated that re-entering
data into shipping systems inevitably led to mistyped and incorrect recipient
addresses. These retailers needed a fast way to prepare packages for shipment
with the carrier of their choice. The Packing Slip and Label Printer add-on
module for QBaroo shopping cart software provides merchants with the ability
to print UPS, Fed Ex or USPS shipping labels right from within QBaroo. The
module also generates professional packing slips with configurable return
processing instructions.

Out of box, QBaroo allows merchants to configure tax rates and shipping charges
for their respective states. However, some of our merchants were frustrated
with having to configure and continuously monitor complicated tax rules for
each and every ZIP code in their state(s). Others were overwhelmed with complex
reporting requirements. There are just over 7,000 distinct tax authorities
that levy a sales or use tax: 54 states, 1,600 counties, and 4,500 cities.
Nation wide there are 43,000 5 digit ZIP codes and 61 million 9 digit ZIP
codes. Combined they generate over 3000 place boundary changes annually. There
are more than 36,000 tax combinations based on where one lives in the US and
where products ship from.
Merchants are required to collect sales taxes when the customer is in the
same state or the merchant has "substantial nexus" in the customer's state.
"Nexus is typically
defined by physical presence, but may also be defined by business activity,
affiliation or other kind of presence." Merchants are required to collect
and report sales tax by the ship to ZIP code.
The QBaroo Internet Store Tax Module is a fully integrated and constantly
updated sales tax database. It automatically logs the current and proper tax
rate for all sales transactions without requiring any merchant configuration.
The tax information is mapped to zip code, and broken down by state, county,
city, and local tax jurisdiction. By facilitating the proper reporting and
collection of sales tax, the QBaroo Sales Tax Module improves the accuracy
of sales tax calculation, relieves the responsibility of monitoring tax rate
changes and saves time on reporting too.
Some of our retail clients were struggling with processing customer returns
through their Internet Store. Some were upset because returned packages would
just show up in the mail; some didn't match with client records. Some were
dismayed that customers wouldn't buy in the first place because they plain
expected hassles on possible returns. Have you ever bought apparel and had
to do a return or exchange an item because it just didn't fit? What if you
could actually have your customers talk about an exceptional return experience;
have returns promote your store. Many of our clients told us they needed a
structured process to assign Return Material Authorization Numbers (RMA),
schedule a FedEx or UPS pickup, provide a web based interface for customers
to process their returns, automatically check return requests for policy deadlines
and allow customers to print their own packing labels. They wanted to be sure
that return shipments were traceable to the original purchase, packages came
back properly labeled and customers had a positive experience.

to take advantage of a lay-away feature that saves their selections by simply
